Stop The Lies Some one month back, a singing performance at a DAP dinner in Pahang was abruptly halted.
It was not because the music had stopped because of power failure.
Apparently the DAP had stopped the stage singer, dressed in a sexy outfit, from continuing her performance after her first song, which was a curtain raiser to the dinner.
Bowing to pressure from PAS leaders who were present, they decided to do away with more performances which were paid for by villagers in Telemong, near Bentong.
She and other singers were supposed to provide entertainment at the DAP dinner but PAS leaders insisted that there be no more performance as they deemed the singers being immoral.
What a let down by DAP. Why give in and be dictated by the PAS Taliban fellows. Don’t you have balls to stand up against these extremist buggers?
Are the DAP so helpless. Don’t they have any guts to show the finger at PAS for dictating to them what to do?
Can the Chinese still rely on DAP to champion their cause when even in their home turf, they are unable to stand up against pressures of the ultra extremist PAS leaders.
After all it’s your own show. If they find it offensive, the DAP leaders present should have shown them the exit, just like when the DAP commented on hudud laws, the PAS leaders told off DAP leaders and were showed the exit door if they continued to harp on the matter.
Several new village committees who had raised thousands of ringgit to hire the singers were enraged that DAP had “kow tow” to PAS when they were merely invited guests at a function and have no bloody right to make a fuss.
It is just like if you are a guest at someone’s house, how could you insist on switching channels just because your host is watching the Miss Malaysia pageant and you feel that the participants in swimsuits are offensive.
The DAP are being submissive to their PAS “tai kor” (big brother). They have become a toothless tiger and are helpless in many situations.
Hudud law is one obvious issue that DAP still cannot make any headway in convincing PAS to reconsider its Islamist agenda.
Then there is the recent brouhaha over the Kelantan state ruling that a female hairstylist cannot cut the hair of a male customer and vice versa. That rule also applies to non-Muslims.
Clearly the hair cut ruling is an infringement of the rights of the non-Muslims and denying the right to earn a decent living. And yet we don’t see any DAP leader standing up to their PAS brother on this issue. WHY?
Perhaps they have also become puppets to PAS. If you have seen puppets on the strings, you know what I mean.
At the slightest tug, you will see that the puppet will react and its actions will correspond with that of the puppet master. Similarly we see the DAP doing the same.
Perhaps we are heading towards a “ketuanan” PAS culture. source
